Quick Update Before the Players Championship 05/03/2010
The Quail Hollow Championship is similar to the Masters in at least one respect: their credentialing process. Normally, whenever a member of the media applies for credentials to an event, they have to go through the PGA Tour, and the process of submitting your request for credentials is really pretty straightforward. But with events like the Masters and Quail Hollow, I'm pretty sure there's some sort of secret handshake or strange ritual involved to cover an event. But that's fine, because I needed the week off to recoup and catch up on some writing. Aside from the writing and sleeping, however, there were two things that I wanted to share. First, I had a 40 minute phone interview with Tim Clark on Wednesday, which was pretty special for me after all of my "posse shirt" hikes from this year so far. The article will be featured in the next issue of Universal Golf. Secondly, I made a YouTube video with the help of someone at a driving range in Beaufort, SC. I decided to try and imitate 20 PGA Tour players in 6 minutes. After watching these players for months there are most certainly a few things I've picked up on for each player. I actually had a list of 50-60 PGA Tour players, but the other players required more props or prep time to try and pull it off. Anyway, I hope you guys enjoy: CommentsLeave a Reply |
